NEW FOR THIS YEAR!!
NEW START TIMES: Our 25k entrants have grown enough that we will separate them from the 50k runners this year by starting them 30 minutes after the 50k race. The new race times are: 50k at 8:00 a.m. - 25k at 8:30 a.m. - 10k at 9:00 a.m.
NEW REGISTRATION FEES: Our fees were originally set up to encourage early registration, but over four years we have learned that it makes no difference. So, we have averaged the entry fees and they will be the same no matter how early or late you register. This year we are going to be more firm about getting your registrations in on time. You are going to have to come up with better excuses!
COSTUME BALL! The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Halloween Costume Ball on Saturday night, time and place to be announced. Bring the kids! Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.
AID STATIONS: Some of our stations were closer or farther than others. We have adjusted the distance between stations. We have decided to put another aid station between 3 and 4, so we will have 5 stations this year. Also, there will be potties at all stations.
REGISTRATION DINNER: Our Registration Dinner will be held at Green River’s new Senior Center. The registration dinner is free to all participants, including family and friends. Donations are always welcome.
From Main Street, turn south on Solomon Street, in one block you will see the Elementary School. Turn left. You will see the new center on your left. Maps to the site will be in your Welcome Bags, which you will be getting some time in September.
Our menu has not yet been determined. We will post it here when it is.
DROP BAGS: We are still working to improve our drop bag service. We have requested some help from the County Sheriff’s office, and their patrol will help us to get the bags back sooner. We will also cover this more thoroughly in the volunteer training. Drop bags leave the start area BEFORE the start of the race, so please be prepared with your drop bags and have them at the drop area by 7:30 a.m.
Your drop bags need to be well identified. We will not be responsible for items dropped without a bag. Extra plastic bags will be available at the drop site and at all aid stations.
T-SHIRTS: The size of t-shirt you entered on your entry form will be in your registration bag. If there is more than one color, colors will be distributed at our discretion. We will try to purchase women’s shirts this year, so if you want a lady’s size, be sure to check the “F” box.
