Aid Stations
Aid Stations:
There will be five well-stocked aid stations along the route to help make your journey successful and comfortable. You will find sports drinks, salty snacks, sweet snacks, healthy snacks, gel, fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and plenty of water. We will NOT have painkillers or other medication. We will have first aid supplies for blisters, etc. If you have requests or suggestions for the aid stations, please send them to us via this website.
To help prevent litter, we ask that if you leave the station with paper cups, you carry them to the next station and deposit them in the available trashcans. It is mandatory that everyone carry at least one water bottle between stations. Be sure to announce your running number as you enter each station to keep timing accurate!!
Drop Bags:
You must have your drop bags at the start line by 7:30 a.m. Bags must be marked with your name, bib number and drop station. Use separate bags for more than one station. We will have drop areas and extra bags at all stations. The sweep vehicle will pick up drop bags after runners have completed their turnaround and bring them to the Start/Finish. We will not be responsible for items not properly labeled or dropped.
Dropping Out:
We will do everything we can to make this a fun, safe and successful experience for you, but if for any reason you should decide to drop out, please be sure to notify the race staff at the start/finish or one of the Sheriff’s deputies on the sweep. Failure to do so may result in search and rescue looking for you unnecessarily. You may request a ride back to the pavilion from any Sheriff’s deputy or sweep staff.
Volunteers:
Volunteers are welcome and appreciated to help with aid stations, communications, transportation, timing and other activities. Many thanks are due to those who have helped in previous races. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us through the Contact page.
There will be a MANDATORY volunteer meeting on Tuesday, October 26th at the City Council Chambers, 240 East Main St., at 7:00 p.m. Volunteers will be contacted with date, time and directions closer to the event.
