Goblin Valley Ultra Marathon: Aid Stations

AID STATIONS:

There will be four well-stocked aid stations along the route to help make your journey successful and comfortable. You will find sports drinks, endurolytes, salty snacks, sweet snacks, healthy snacks, gel, fruit, salted potatoes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and plenty of water. We will NOT have ibuprofen or other painkillers. We will have first aid supplies for blisters, etc. If you have requests or suggestions for the aid stations, please send them to us via this website. To help prevent litter, we ask that if you leave the station with paper cups, you carry them to the next station and deposit them in the available trashcans. It is mandatory that everyone carry at least one water bottle between stations. BE SURE TO ANNOUNCE YOUR RUNNING NUMBER AS YOU ENTER EACH STATION TO KEEP TIMING ACCURATE!!

DROP BAGS:

You must have your drop bags at the start line by 7:30 a.m. Bags must be marked with your name, address and phone. We will have drop areas at the 1st aid station and at the turnaround (4th) station. The sweep vehicle will pick up drop bags after all runners have completed the turnaround. No further drop bag trips will be made during the race. WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS NOT PROPERLY LABELED OR DROPPED!

DROPPING OUT:

We will do everything we can to make this a fun, safe and successful experience for you, but if for any reason you should decide to drop out, please be sure to notify the race staff at an aid station. Failure to do so may result in search and rescue looking for you at a cost of $300 per hour billed to you!

VOLUNTEERS:

Volunteers are welcome and appreciated to help with aid stations, communications, transportation, timing and other activities. Many thanks are due to those who have helped in previous races. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Connie at conniec@etv.net.

There will be a MANDATORY volunteer meeting on Friday, October 24th at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum at 5:30 p.m. just prior to the Halloween Dinner. Volunteers will be contacted with date, time and directions closer to the event.
